Virgil Abloh| The man who make LV’s menswear more “interesting” & the founder of Off-White passed away at his age of 41

LVMH announced that Virgil Abloh, artistic director of Louis Vuitton Men’s and founder of Off-White, died of cancer on November 28th at the age of 41. The news shocked the fashion world.

Virgil Abloh’s family released a statement about his condition, saying that for more than two years, Virgil had been bravely battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2019, he decided to fight the disease in an undisclosed way. While undergoing treatment, he is leading several important organizations spanning fashion, art and culture.

Making LV “fun”
Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH, said on LVMH’s platform that the entire LVMH family was shocked by the news. Virgil Abloh, he said, is not only a visionary and talented designer, but a man with a beautiful soul and great intellect. He is also the driving force behind the co-branding of LV and other brands, with some commenting that Virgil Abloh has made LV’s menswear more “interesting”. Not only the employees of LVMH, but also his many fans and fashion followers are very sad to hear of the death of this talented designer.
