The National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) has identified 8 districts in Selangor as flood-prone regions!

The NADMA of Malaysia reported that a total of 8 districts in Selangor are classified as “black regions” for flooding. Klang, Petaling, Gombak, Ulu Rangak, Sepang, Kuala Lumpur,  , Sabak Annan and Kuala Selangor are the 8 districts mentioned.

Between 2019 and 2022, there were more than three floods in these places. Major floods hit our country at the end of every year, and corresponding units in Malaysia started early this year.

From November to the beginning of next year, floods are expected to affect more than 10 million people in Malaysia, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department. The east coast is primarily where the afflicted areas located.

Among them, 1.8 million people in Kelantan, 1.2 million in Terengganu, 1.6 million in Pahang, 4 million in Johor, and 2.5 million in Sarawak are at risk of flooding.

By the end of the year, flooding is also projected to affect Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Kedah on the west coast of the peninsula, which is home to 1.9 million people in Kuala Lumpur, 7 million in Selangor, and 2.2 million in Kedah.

Don’t have a lucky mindset. Many places are already beginning to experience flooding for the first time. Everyone should exercise caution by placing essential papers in waterproof plastic bags and storing them high up.

When the appropriate authorities issue instructions to evacuate, it is simple to evacuate relevant important documents.
