The government announces the top price of Coxin and GMP vaccines!
The government has authorized private clinics to introduce Coxin and GMP vaccines and to administer both vaccines to the public. In order to reduce disputes over vaccine charges, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs have set wholesale and retail ceiling prices for Coxin and GMP.
According to a report by Ma’an News Agency, the wholesale ceiling price for Coxin vaccine is RM62 per dose and the retail ceiling price is RM77 per dose, while the wholesale ceiling price for Sinopharm vaccine is RM49 per dose and the retail ceiling price is RM61 per dose. This measure will take effect from January 15, 2022.
Attention! The retail ceiling price announced by the Government is for vaccines only and does not include the service charge for vaccination and disposables. The government will assess market demand and progress from time to time and will continue to update the ceiling price or remove the ceiling price limit.
Any person who violates your Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 will be prosecuted. Individuals can be fined up to RM100,000, imprisoned for not more than 3 years or both, or receive a fine of up to RM50,000.
Businesses that violate the law can be fined up to RM500,000 or receive a fine of up to RM25.
