According to the announcement issued by the Ministry of Education (KPM), the Start of School Assistance (Bantuan Awal Persekolahan) or BAP will be released on Monday, January 17, 2022. Eligible students will receive a start-up assistance grant of RM150.
The start of the school year grant is subject to a household income of RM3,000 or less and each eligible student will receive RM150 and if a family has 4 children in school, they will receive RM600. 3 million students will benefit.
The start-up assistance will be disbursed to students through their bank accounts. If the student does not have a bank account, then the school will disburse the start-up grant in cash.
