Government extended the time frame for BKM recipients to get their BKM assistance from BSN due to flood.
According to the BKM official website, aid beneficiaries who do not have bank account information or whose remittance fails must go to BSN to receive cash assistance on or before January 31, 2023.
Bank remittances are used to distribute BKM aid. Some people, however, do not have bank accounts, and the bank information provided is incorrect. Finally, the government is unable to smoothly remit aid to beneficiaries. These people can receive cash assistance from BSN.
When you go to the BSN counter to collect the aid, you must bring MyKad with you. If the beneficiary is unable to come to the BSN in person to collect the aid, the beneficiary may send a representative to do so. However, the representative must bring the necessary supporting documents, and the representative must be the beneficiary’s designated representative (Wakil) when submitting the aid application.
Furthermore, if a BKM beneficiary dies, family members can go to BSN to receive RM1,000 Skim Khairat Kematian (SKK) before January 31, 2023.
Family members must bring the original or a copy of the JPJ death certificate, as well as documents proving the deceased’s relationship to the family members, such as birth certificates and marriage certificates.
Notice! Death benefits are only available to BKM assistance families, single parents with child custody, widows or widowers, and single senior citizens. A spouse, mother, father, child, sibling, or grandchild are the only dependents who can receive a death benefit.
