China opens up visa waivers to Malaysians, avoid these 7 holidays when traveling to China!

China has opened up to allow Malaysians to enter the country visa-free for up to 15 days. If you are interested in traveling to China, you should avoid China’s public holidays when choosing your travel dates, otherwise you will only see crowds of people at tourist spots.

According to the 2024 holiday list released by the China government, there will be 7 long holidays in 2024, which fall in January, February, April, May, June, September and October.

January’s holiday is a back-to-back New Year’s Day weekend, February has an 8-day Spring Festival holiday, April has a 3-day Ching Ming Festival holiday, May has a 5-day Labor Day holiday, June has a back-to-back Dragon Boat Festival weekend, September has a 3-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, and October has a 7-day National Day holiday.

2024 China Holiday Schedule
New Year’s Day: January 1 holiday, back-to-back with weekend.
Spring Festival: February 10th to 17th, 8 days of vacation and rest.
Ching Ming Festival: April 4 to 6, a total of 3 days off.
Labor Day: May 1 to 5 holiday, a total of 5 days.
Dragon Boat Festival: June 10 holiday, with the weekend off.
Mid-Autumn Festival: September 15 to 17 holiday, a total of three days.
National Day: October 1 to 7 holiday, a total of 7 days.
