More Terengganu and Sabah flood evacuees return home.

The situation in flood-affected states has been reported to be improving, with only one relief centre (PPS) still operational in Terengganu.

According to the Terengganu Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, 53 people from 12 families have been admitted to the PPS at the Kampung La Mosque in Besut since yesterday.

The victims are expected to stay at the PPS for an extended period of time because the majority of them lost their homes in the floods.

In Sabah, the number of evacuees affected by the phenomenon of king tides fell to 688 and remained at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Anib 2 in Sandakan, down from 1,454 earlier this afternoon.

In Kelantan, the last PPS at Pusat Tarbiyah Pohon Buluh in Pasir Mas, which housed only 17 people (five families) this afternoon, was closed at around 6.15 p.m. after their homes were deemed safe to live in again.
