Hong Leong Bank allows customers to apply for new account via online.
Hong Leong Bank offers the option to open a new account online. People can apply for a new account online. Users who successfully create a new account will be mailed a Debit Card.
Last year, Hong Leong Bank launched an online new account opening service to stay up with the modern era. To open a new account, users must first download the Apply@HLB APP, then take a photo and upload the MyKad.
According to Hong Leong Bank’s official website, users can search for and download the Apply@HLB APP from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Following the completion of the download and installation, you must first enter your ID number, then select the type of bank account you wish to open, take a selfie, upload your Malaysian card, and fill out the necessary information.
When submitting an application, users must create an HLB Connect account, which includes entering a username and password that will allow them to log in to the account in the future to view your transaction records and transfers.
It takes three working days to open a new account online, and all users who do so will receive SMS and email notifications. Then, the deposit for opening a new account, must be transferred from your other bank to this new account. You can only transfer money from your own bank accounts as a down payment, and you cannot request money from other users as a down payment.
Your account will be activated and ready to use once you have completed the initial transfer. Hong Leong Bank will send the Debit Card to the address specified by the user, and the user can activate the Debit Card through HLB Connect Online by following the instructions.
Notice! This online new account opening service is only available to Malaysian citizens 18 years old and above and first-time users, that is, those who have never had a Hong Leong Bank account. In addition, the user must have another bank account.
