What should you do if you accidentally lose your licence?

According to Malaysian Land Transport Department (JPJ) regulations, Malaysian citizens aged 16 years or older can only obtain a B2 motorbike licence, 17 years or older can only obtain a D car licence and 21 years or older can only obtain a Rory E licence.

People are required to carry their driving licence with them when driving. So what should you do if you accidentally lose your licence?

If you lose your licence, you must go to your nearestJPJ or (JPJ UTC to obtain a replacement licence. To apply for a replacement driving licence at the Land Transport Authority, people must bring their original Malaysian card/passport and the fee for applying for a replacement driving licence is RM20.

However, it is important to note that in case of robbery or fire resulting in loss of driving licence, a police report must be obtained before the person can apply for a replacement licence at JPJ.
