The Malaysian Meteorological Department released the weather forecast for the coming week from December 27 to January 2 at noon on December 26, with several states in the country set to experience monsoon rains during December 27 to January 2. The low pressure in the South China Sea will lead to rainfall in several parts of the country.
Among them, the eastern part of Sabah will have continuous rainfall from December 27 to January 2, while the western part of Sarawak will have continuous rainfall from December 29 to December 31. As for Johor, Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan, there will be continuous rainfall from December 30 to January 2.
From December 27 to January 2, strong winds and high waves will occur in the South China Sea, affecting the east coast of the peninsula.
The public is urged to be more sensitive to weather changes, and the Meteorological Administration will continue to track weather changes and issue weather warnings when necessary. In the meantime, people are urged to stay away from the beach and avoid low-lying areas.
