The addition of loquat paste to the Korean hot chicken ramen, which has started a trend of spicy food challenges, gave it a fresh twist. Calvin Lee enjoyed the flavor, however, the chilling effect of the loquat paste heightened the spiciness of the noodles.

Calvin Lee also experimented with loquat paste with satay and loquat paste ice cream, among other things. Many netizens were astonished by his innovations, jokingly pleading with authorities to intervene, saying things like

“This is illegal, please arrest him immediately,”

“Please put him in jail for 1000 years,” and

“Please don’t try adding loquat paste to stir-fried noodles.”

Calvin Lee’s page, of course, continues to explore additional imaginative and adventurous food experiments.
