“Titan” Submersible Wreckage Reveals Possible Human Remains, Medical Analysis to Follow

29/06/2023

The wreckage of the tourist submersible “Titan” that had a “catastrophic implosion” while touring the RMS Titanic’s wreckage has reportedly been recovered, according to claims from Reuters and other media sites. On Wednesday at local time, a ship flying the Canadian flag hauled some of the “Titan” wreckage to shore.

According to a statement from Capt. Jason Neubauer, who is leading the investigation for the MBI,

“The evidence will provide investigators from several international jurisdictions with critical insights into the cause of this tragedy. There is still a substantial amount of work to be done to understand the factors that led to the catastrophic loss of the TITAN and help ensure a similar tragedy does not occur again,”

In St. John’s Harbour, Newfoundland, and Labrador, on Wednesday morning, a crane was seen loading what is thought to be the front piece of the submersible as well as other broken debris onto the “Arctic Horizon” vessel. The “Titan” expedition had set out from this site.

Although white material was used to hide some of the debris during the transport, several interior parts, such as wiring and possible hull portions, were still clearly visible. These pieces’ identities are yet unknown. The discovered wreckage will help investigators better comprehend what led to the submersible’s dive-induced catastrophic implosion. Over the past week, investigations into the incident have been started by Canadian and American authorities.

Capt. Jason Neubauer, from the U.S. Marine Corps investigation committee, emphasized the significance of the wreckage and evidence for investigators from multiple international jurisdictions. There is still much to be done in terms of figuring out what caused the sad incident with the “Titan” submersible and making sure that such occurrences are avoided in the future.

The Pelagic Research business said that while their crew has successfully finished the offshore operation, they are still on task. Pelagic Research operated the remotely operated vehicle that discovered the “Titan” debris. They’re supposed to leave the “Arctic Horizon” ship on Wednesday early in the morning.

A spokesperson mentioned that the team has been working tirelessly day and night for over ten days with little sleep, describing the process as arduous and exhausting. Extreme solemnity is being used in the healing process.
