Timetable for School Days and Holidays in 2022/2023
Our country’s primary and secondary schools will begin the new academic year on March 21.
According to the Ministry of Education’s announcement of the school class and holiday calendar for the 2022/2023 new school year, the new school year will be divided into three semesters, running from March this year to February the following year.
According to their weekly rest days, the Department of Education separates states into two groups, Group A and Group B. The state in Group A has weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday, while the state in Group B has weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu are the states in Group A. Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya are the states in Group B.
The new academic year is divided into three semesters: the first from March 21 to June 11/12, the second from June 12/13 to September 10/11, and the third from September 11/12 to March 11/12.
