On October 1, 2022, at 6:25 PM, the Meteorology Department announced that thunderstorms would last across 9 states and territories until 9 PM.
Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor, and Sarawak are among the impacted states and territories.
When a region experiences more than an hour’s worth of rain at a rate of 20mm per hour, the Meteorology Department will issue a thunderstorm warning. The Meteorology Department will only issue warnings that last for a maximum of six hours.

5. WP Putrajaya
6. Negeri Sembilan
7. Melaka
8. Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai dan Johor Bahru)
9. Sarawak: Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan dan Marudi) dan Limbang
