The Ministry of Health recommends a mixing of vaccines!
The JKJAV recommended a mix of vaccines under the upcoming third dose program, according to Health Minister KJ, who was answering questions in Parliament. The Ministry of Health may use a combination vaccine for the third dose of vaccine starting in October.
A combination vaccine means that the brand for the third vaccine dose is different from the first and second doses of the vaccine. For example, people who get the first two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will need to get Pfizer or Sinovac for the third dose. For the first two doses of the Sinovac vaccine, Pfizer or AstraZeneca will be required for the third dose.
Sarawak will be the first state to receive a booster vaccination for high-risk groups from October. High-risk groups in Sarawak, such as those over 60 with serious underlying diseases, will be the first to be targeted for booster shots.
The government has not ruled out giving booster shots to the general population, but it must first complete booster shots for high-risk groups.
