The state government of Johor has begun distributing bags of rice for free today, and every household can receive 10 kilograms of rice from the government regardless of their income, .
The Johor state government, according to Johor State Minister Datuk Onn Hafiz, has launched the Bantuan Kasih Bangsa Johor (BKBJ). The state government would provide families in Johor with a free sack of rice under this programme.
From now until May 31, 2022, a total of 903,136 households will get a free bag of rice. In the first phase, 172,500 sacks of white rice will be delivered, with county offices and state legislators assisting with coordination. After Hari Raya, the second phase will be delivered to the general public.
There is no need to apply for the Johor Free Rice Plan, and the state government would distribute free rice based on the information in the database. You can get free white rice from the state government if you are in the B40 low-income group, the M40 middle-income group, or the T20 high-income group.
The state government will also give newlyweds RM1,000 through the Johor National Caring Assistance Program, although they must have a monthly salary of less than RM5,000.
