The Seri Perdana Aidilfitri open house attracts over 100,000 visitors.
The prime minister and ministers’ Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house, held at Seri Perdana today, drew nearly 100,000 guests as of 4 p.m.
As a result, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob decided to extend the open house until all visitors could enter, despite the fact that the event was supposed to end at 4 p.m., according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
According to the PMO, YAB PM (Ismail Sabri) could not stomach seeing Keluarga Malaysia members waiting in huge lines.
Aside from that, the positive reaction caused the event to start earlier, at 9.30 a.m., despite the fact that the invitation specified that it would open at 10 a.m.
Many people were still queuing at 4 p.m. to enter the Laman Sari open house, where the prime minister himself was greeting an endless line of visitors.
The function, titled “Raya Keluarga Malaysia, Syawal Dirai, Nikmat Disyukuri,” is Ismail Sabri and his Cabinet members’ first open house since being chosen Prime Minister on August 20, 2021.
More than 70,000 people were scheduled to attend the open house, according to previous projections.
Because to the Covid-19 outbreak, the open house in Seri Perdana has been cancelled for the past two years.
When Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was Prime Minister, it was last held on June 5, 2019.
