After the third dose of the vaccination, the 4-month protection has decreased dramatically, and the fourth dose of the vaccine may be required!

According to a study published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and cited by the “Oriental Daily,” after 4 months of receiving the third dose of the vaccine, protection drops dramatically, and high-risk populations may require the fourth dose.

The protection of the third dosage of the vaccine is still 91 percent after two months in the Omicron variant virus pandemic, but it will drop to 78 percent after four months. In the emergency room, the efficacy rate of the third dose of the vaccine declined to 87 percent after two months, 66 percent after four months, and only 37 percent after five months.

The US CDC conducted a data analysis for ten US states from August 26, 2021, to January 22, 2022, for this study.

It is too early to say whether my country will receive the fourth dose of the vaccine because many people in our country have not yet received the third dose of the vaccine.
