The owner of the house is missing “The tenant has lived here for 4 years without paying any money”. He even spent RM21k in electricity bills and has not paid back!

Thanks to the disappearance of the owner, a tenant actually enjoyed 4 years of “rent + electricity bill freedom”. He lived in someone else’s home for 4 years in vain and still owed electricity bills of up to RM21,000!

According to reports from “Kosmo!” and “Sin Chew Daily”, Rubi Hasman, a real estate agent in Malaysia, recently posted a post on Facebook condemning the tenant’s irresponsible behavior.

From the electricity bill uploaded by Rubi, it can be seen that the house is located in Taiping, Perak, and the tenant owes a total of RM21,894 in electricity bills.

She pointed out that when she went to check on the auction house a few days ago, she found that there were still people living in the house. Her husband came up to say hello, and the tenant who came out was the tenant of the house.

The tenant revealed that the owner had been missing for a long time and he had not paid rent for four years, but he continued to live there for free.

The tenant also said that he knew that the house was going to be auctioned, so when Rubi successfully auctioned the house, he came to the tenant to discuss the relevant matters, and the tenant agreed to move out within two months.

After they moved out, they were left with an electricity bill worth RM21,000 in arrears.

“Actually, we already knew about this because all the electricity bills had been investigated before the auction, but we still pretended to be surprised and informed the tenants.”

“I don’t know what he is doing. He just lives in other people’s homes for free and still owes so much electricity bills in the name of the homeowner.”

She said that fortunately, after the house was auctioned, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) would waive the huge amount for the new owner, otherwise it would be really miserable.

As for why TNB did not cut off the power supply, she said it was because TNB had no right to break into the house without the owner’s permission, and every time TNB personnel went to the residence, the tenant locked the fence gate.

“They (TNB) tried calling the owner of the house but they didn’t answer the phone.”

Therefore, she advises all landlords to always check their tenants’ electricity usage and bills to avoid the same thing happening.

The owner quietly ran away, just as the tenant quietly stayed, waving his sleeves and not taking away an electricity bill~

I hope you will be a responsible tenant and pay what is due.
