The number of Covid-19 new infections has dropped to 6,069, with 12 deaths reported.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health (MoH) reported 6,069 new Covid-19 cases each day.

This is a big decrease from the 7,140 new infections reported the day before, and it continues a declining trend that began last week.

Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the director-general of the Ministry of Health, said in a statement that total infections have reached 4,402,234 since the epidemic began in 2020.

According to the CovidNow website, Covid-19 claimed another 12 lives yesterday, one of which was classified as brought-in-dead (BID).

Since the outbreak began, the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 35,449 people across the country.
