The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for January 2 to January 8! Several state will still be affected by heavy rainfall!

According to the weather report issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department, active rain clouds in the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea will cause persistent rainfall along the northern and eastern coasts of Sabah and the western coast of the peninsula. Frequent thunderstorms will occur in the evening and overnight in Sabah and western Sarawak.

The Meteorological Department has also issued a persistent rainfall warning for Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor, Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, which will last until January 3. Kelantan, Terengganu, western parts of Pahang and northern parts of Sabah will experience persistent rainfall until January 4.

In addition, the east coast of the peninsula as well as Sabah and Sarawak will experience strong winds and high waves until January 4.

The public is urged to remain alert and sensitive to changes in the weather and the Meteorological Department will issue severe weather warnings as necessary.
