People eligible for booster vaccination urged to get it by February!!

01/01/2022

Have you completed your booster vaccination? 2 groups are urged to complete their booster vaccination by February.

According to a message from the Ministry of Health, all people over 60 years of age and those over 18 years of age who have received the Coxin vaccine must complete the booster by February, otherwise the vaccination status of MySejahtera will be affected.

If you are eligible for a booster and you have not received your booster by February, your vaccination status in MySejahtera will show incomplete vaccinations and you will face travel disruptions. You will not be able to enter specific stores such as dine-in, movie theaters, interstate, etc.

If you are at least 18 years old and have received the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine, you are temporarily exempt from the mandatory booster vaccination. This is because the Ministry of Health has only recently announced that the interval between Pfizer or AstraZeneca booster shots has been shortened to 3 months, so the government is not yet able to mandate booster shots for these groups.

The Ministry of Health announced only recently that the interval between the second dose of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccine and the booster had been shortened from 6 months to 3 months. It is important to note that the Ministry of Health encourages the public to receive the Pfizer and AstraZeneca booster shots, while the Ministry of Health only provides the Coxin booster to those who are sensitive to the mRNA vaccine. If the general public wants to receive the booster vaccine, they can go through private hospitals or clinics.

The government encourages the public to receive the booster shots to improve their immunity so that they can protect not only themselves, but also their friends and family.
