The [Malaysia Open] ended with Lee Zii Jia losing 1-2 to Japan’s new No. 1 player, Kodai Naraoka.

Kodai Naroaka, the new No.1 player from Japan, beat Malaysia’s No.1 player, Lee Zii Jia, in the first round of the Malaysia Open Men’s Singles.

Lee Zii Jia  won the first round of the men’s singles at Axiata Arena. Then the score was tied at 2. Even so, Naraoka returned and won the second set 21–17.
Naraoka won four points in a row in the third set and had 11-8 at the break. Lee Zii Jia tried to get the points back afterwards, but his opponent still beat him. He didn’t make it to the next round of the Malaysian Open, so his trip was over after 19-21.
