The Kedah caretaker government has approved RM1,500 in special support for state civil servants.
In recognition of their achievements and sacrifices, the caretaker Kedah government has agreed to grant special financial support of RM1,500 to each state civil servant and state administration member.
When tabling the state’s Budget 2023 at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) here today, Caretaker Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said the exceptional financial support entails an allocation of RM8 million and will be paid out in December.
The state government is appreciative for the steadfast dedication and perseverance of state civil servants in implementing the government’s policies, programmes, and initiatives to build the state.
State civil servants were also participating in disaster relief in Kedah.
Meanwhile, all teachers appointed by the Kedah Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JHEIK) will receive a RM100 one-time wage boost, as do other civil servants.
The budget for this has been approved at RM622,000.
