“The Glory 2” set off a drama boom Korean Netflix single-day users broke the record

14/03/2023

Quite amazingly, the number of Netflix subscribers in a single day has climbed considerably since the 10th, when the second season of the Korean drama “The Glory,” starring Song Hye Kyo, was formally launched and all the episodes were promptly released to the public.

A pretty impressive benefit is that on March 11, Netflix Korea had a record high of 5.32 million users (Android plus iOS), a whopping 61% rise from the 3.91 million users on the day before the launch of The Glory Part 2 (March 9).

Also, when the first part of “The Glory” was released on December 30, 2022, the number was 3.49 million, and the second part was 52% more than the first step.

Since its full 16-episode release (8 episodes for each of Parts 1 and 2), “The Glory” has broken numerous records; it is currently ranked No. 2 on Netflix’s global movie ranking, behind only “You 4”, and it has been made available to viewers in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and the United States. It is rated third in the United States and third in the United Kingdom but first in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Taiwan. In addition, its popularity is steadily expanding in Central and South American countries like Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, and others.
