The 95th “Oscar Awards” ceremony took place on March 13 in the morning, Malaysian time. Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, a star of worldwide cinema from Malaysia, won the award with “Everything Everywhere All at Once”!

She made history by becoming the first Asian, Malaysian, or Chinese actress to win an Oscar for an action movie. During the ceremony,  she said “Thank you, thank you. For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities. This is proof that … dream big, and dreams do come true. And ladies, don’t let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime. Never give up.

Michelle Yeoh described mothers as “real superheroes” and said she would like to dedicate this honor to her and “all the mothers in the world”: “We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them. I would like to take this honor back to Malaysia and Hong Kong as a token of appreciation for allowing us to stand on your shoulders.”
