A teacher at a secondary school in Selangor discovered six pupils throwing up after they shared a vape pen among themselves.
Five Form Five students and one Form Two student were involved in the incident earlier this month, according to the school’s teacher.
The Star was informed by the teacher—who requests to remain anonymous—that the group of male students had been vaping inside the classroom during recess.
“Three students came to my room and told me they had puked after being ‘tricked’ into vaping by another student.
“The students informed me that after using the vape, some of them puked and felt sick.
He stated, “One of them even acknowledged that he punched their friend for sharing a vape pen with an odd “flavoring.”
The instructor claimed that following more interrogation, the pupils took him to a classroom where the vape was concealed in a cabinet.
He continued, saying that the vape had a strong smell that was distinct from the liquid’s typical fruity or smoky aroma.
“A student who was obviously “high” and had bloodshot eyes was unable to stand or walk normally in the classroom.

“It seemed like he was overdosed with a substance as he kept falling asleep, but thankfully, with training from the National Anti-Drugs Agency, I tried to keep him awake so that he would not pass out,” the teacher said.
Since an illegal substance was believed to be involved, the school, said the teacher, decided to call in the police for further action.
“A patrol car took the students to the police station, but the school chose not to press charges against the boys because it might damage their record.
“If we move forward, they would have to take a urine test, and after that, they would be arrested as juvenile offenders, which would have a permanent impact on their future,” he stated.
However, the instructor expressed concern about how the students were able to get the vape pen with what appears to be an illicit substance.
The students informed me that they had paid between RM20 and RM30 for each refill of the “flavour,” whereas a bottle of cannabis flavor can cost up to RM150.
