Yesterday afternoon, a serious auto accident happened in Genting Mid-Levels. Six people were killed and eight others were hurt when a van carrying 14 tourists lost control and crashed into a stone pier fence.
It is believed that the van came from a tourist agency in Penang and that both the vehicle’s driver and the victims were Chinese. The injured are currently being carried urgently to Kuala Lumpur and Bentong hospitals.
Firefighters from Pahang state said in a previous conversation that the authorities received a call for help at 1:15 this afternoon reporting a car accident at the 4.8 km downhill part of Genting Highland. Thus, they sent emergency firefighters to the scene of the accident immediately.
