Never had confidence in the Malaysian Ringgit? You may consider depositing your money into a fixed deposit with a Singapore bank. There are still many banks offering time deposit discounts in December, including RHB, CIMB and Hong Leong Bank, which are familiar to Malaysians.
1. RHB Singapore
RHB Singapore launches 3-month, 6-month and 12-month time deposit promotions.
Ordinary users (Personal Banking) can enjoy 3.00% p.a. for time deposits deposited for 3 months, 3.60% p.a. for 6 months and 12 months. For Premier Banking, it is 3.10%p.a. for 3 months, 3.68%p.a. for 6 months and 12 months.
The minimum deposit amount for this time deposit offer is $20,000 and will be available until further notice.
2. CIMB Singapore
CIMB Bank of Singapore also offers 3-month, 6-month, 9-month and 12-month time deposit offers. This time deposit offer is divided into Personal Banking users and Preferred Banking users, the latter can enjoy higher time deposit interest rates.
For Personal Banking, you can enjoy 3.45% p.a. for 3 months, 3.50% p.a. for 6 months, 3.35% for 9 months, and 3.15% for 12 months. Preferred Banking offers 3.50% p.a. for 3 months, 3.55% for 6 months, 3.40% for 9 months, and 3.20% for 12 months.
The minimum deposit amount for this time deposit offer is $10,000, and the offer is valid from December 1 to December 31, 2023. Time deposit offers can be deposited online.
3. Hong Leong Bank Singapore
Hong Leong Bank of Singapore also offers time deposit discounts, with options for depositing for 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. When depositing S$100,000 to S$499,999, you can enjoy 3.40%p.a. for 3 months, 3.50%p.a. for 6 months and 3.60%p.a. for 12 months. When depositing S$500,000 or above, you can enjoy 3.40%p.a. for 3 months, 3.60%p.a. for 6 months and 3.65%p.a. for 12 months. This time deposit offer will last until December 31, 2023.
4. UOB Singapore
Singapore’s United Overseas Bank has launched a time deposit promotion, with 3.10% p.a. for deposits of 6 months, 10 months and 12 months. The minimum deposit amount is S$10,000, which can be deposited through UOB Personal Internet Banking or UOB TMRW APP. Offer valid from December 1 to December 31, 2023.
5. Standard Chartered Singapore
Standard Chartered Bank of Singapore has launched a time deposit discount. You can enjoy 3.10% p.a. if you deposit it for 8 months, while the Priority Banking Preferential Rate is 3.20% p.a. and the Priority Private Banking Preferential Rate is 3.30% p.a. The minimum deposit for this offer is S$25,00, and the offer is valid from 1 December to 31 December 2023.
6. DBS
DBS Bank also offers time deposit discounts. You can enjoy 3.00% for 8 months, 3.10% for 9 months, 3.15% for 10 months and 3.20% for 12 months. Only for New Placements, only for deposits from S$1,000 to S$9,999. .
