Shopee has announced the launch of the Self Collection service, where users can go to specific sites to pick up their packages.
According to Shopee, the Self Collection service will be the first to be launched in the Klang Valley. Currently, there are about 300 stations where you can collect your parcels. The cooperative stations include Mail Boxed Etc (MBE), PARCELHUB and Shopee Express.
Shopee’s Self Collection service is mainly for people who are away from home on weekdays and cannot receive packages in person. Some people work outside on weekdays, and they are worried that the courier company will leave the package outside their home, so it is the best way to go to the station to pick up the package in person.
To use the Self Collection service, you can select Self Collection in the Shipping Option on the Checkout page. Then choose Choose Another Collection Points, choose the site where you want to pick up your package, and enter your name and contact information. After filling in the information, you can submit the checkout.
You will receive an SMS notification after the package arrives at your selected site. Your Collection PIN will be displayed in the SMS. You will need to show this Collection PIN when you go to pick up your package.
At present, at least very few merchants offer the mailing method of Self Collection. Self Collection will be pushed to merchants and users in batches. For more details, visit Shopee Self Collection.
