Families with monthly income up to RM3,000 will receive RM200 shopping vouchers for the festive season.
The Selangor State Minister presented the Selangor Budget 2023 on 25th November. In this budget, Selangor State Minister Datuk Seri Amiruddin announced that the amount of festive shopping vouchers will be increased in 2023.
The amount of the Selangor Jom Shopping Voucher will be increased from RM100 to RM200 and the beneficiary group will be expanded from a household monthly income of up to RM2,000 to a household monthly income of up to RM3,000.
The scheme will cost RM16.48 million and is expected to benefit 82,400 people. Families will receive shopping vouchers for Eid, Chinese Lunar New Year and Tu B’Shevat. Families can use the vouchers to purchase any items they need for the festive season.
In addition, Selangor State Minister Datuk Seri Amiruddin also announced that under the Selangor Seniors’ Goodwill Fund (SMUE), members will receive RM150 shopping vouchers per year, compared to RM100 previously. 430,2051 members of this fund are members. In the unfortunate event of a member’s death, the family will also receive a RM500 pension.
