In last year’s Samsung Unpacked 2021, Samsung stated that it would provide 4 years of software support for the Samsung Galaxy S10 and beyond, including 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security patches for phones and tablets. In addition to the flagship phones in the Samsung Galaxy S series, the Samsung Galaxy M series and Samsung Galaxy A series phones will benefit from the above software support!
However, Samsung has released further OS updates to the system for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series! At Samsung Unpacked 2022, Samsung announced that the latest devices will support 4 new generations of Android OS and 5 years of security patches! This also means that Samsung Galaxy S22 series phones purchased in 2022 will get the Android 16 update along with the 2027 security patch!
In addition to the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, Samsung stated that the Samsung Galaxy S21 series phones, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, will benefit from this new upgrade!
