Truecaller recently announced that it will cooperate with several Android phone manufacturers and will pre-install Truecaller APP in new phones. Malaysia is one of the countries where Truecaller APP will be pre-installed.
In recent years, there have been many phone scams and Malaysians receive an average of 8 million spam calls per month, ranking 32nd in the global spam call ranking.
Truecaller is a mobile app that allows users to check the caller’s profile and when a specific phone number is identified as a source of harassment or scam, Truecaller APP will block calls from that mobile number. Users can also check the origin of the number directly when they receive an incoming call, and then determine whether to answer the call.
Truecaller has not yet specified which Android phone manufacturers it will work with to pre-install the Truecaller APP.
