The Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) will have two-wheeled vehicle parking spaces thanks to an RM400,000 allocation from the Johor Baru City Council (MBJB).
Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, the chairman of the Johor housing and local government committee, stated that MBJB was allocating the funds to provide 1,000 bike and scooter parking bays at BSI in addition to 2,000 motorcycle parking bays.
Additionally, he mentioned that SWM Environment Sdn Bhd was cleaning the BSI bus bay, pedestrian lane, and bridge.
He announced that MBJB, SWM, Johor Solid Waste Management, and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp) would be in charge of keeping an eye on BSI’s cleanliness.
The city council’s enforcement action against littering and related offences on the property will also include the deployment of its anti-litter squad to BSI.
After touring the pedestrian bridge that connects BSI and R&F Mall, he stated, “The state government places great emphasis on infrastructure, facilities, and cleanliness.”
Bicycles and e-scooters would soon have a designated parking area for visitors entering Singapore through the BSI Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex, according to a July report.
