Applications and updates for BKM will close on 31 January! The public is urged to apply and update their information as soon as possible.
To ease the living burden of the low- and middle-income groups, the government launched the BKM in 2022. The beneficiaries of BKM are families with a monthly income not more than RM5,000 and single persons with a monthly incomenot more than RM2,500.
According to the LHDN, people who have received or applied for BPR, BKC or GKP in the last year will be automatically included in the list of BKM, and relevant persons do not need to re-apply.
If you have not applied for or received BPR, BKC or GKP assistance, you will need to make a new application by 31 January 2022. There are 2 ways to apply, that is, through online application or directly to the nearest LHDN to submit the application form. The application website for BKM assistance is https://bkm.hasil.gov.my/ .
Under the BKM scheme 2022, families with a monthly income of not more than RM2,500 will receive RM1,000 without children, RM1,500 for families with 1 to 2 children, RM1,500 for families with 1 to 2 children, Families with 3 children or more can get RM2,000.
Families with monthly income of RM2,501 to RM5,000 can get RM400 without children, RM600 for families with 1 to 2 children, and RM800 for families with 3 children or more.
Additional RM500 for single mothers, single fathers, widows or widows with child guardianship while the senior family group can get extra RM300.
Singles aged 21 or above with a monthly income not more than RM2,500 can receive RM350 assistance, and seniors or elderly widowed with a monthly income not more than RM5,000 can receive RM600.
