In June, there are four public holidays, and one of it is a national holiday while the others are statutory holidays.

The Agong’s birthday is June 6 (Monday), and the entire country will be off on that day. Because the Agong’s birthday falls on a Monday, made up of a three-day long weekend holiday (including Saturday and Sunday).

The Agong’s birthday is also a statutory holiday, requiring employers to pay double salary to employees who work on this day.

Sarawak will be off on June 1 and 2 for Dayak holidays, and all government offices and schools will be closed.

The Sultan of Kedah celebrates his birthday on June 19, and the entire state of Kedah will be closed on that day.
