Proton will introduces EV in Q4 of 2023.

Proton and Smart Automobile have formally signed a partnership agreement, and new energy vehicles would be introduced in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Proton and Smart Automobile entered into a collaboration agreement on August 18 in order for Proton to serve as Smart’s franchise dealer in Malaysia and Thailand. Within the next five years, Proton intends to introduce three new electric vehicles. The Proton and Smart cooperation is primarily focused on retail operations.

Along with installing home chargers for clients, Proton and Smart also intend to work with domestic charging suppliers to invest in electric car charging stations across the country. This will allow customers to charge their electric vehicles at home whenever they want.

The micro car and mini car series brand Smart Automobile is run by a joint venture between the German Mercedes-Benz Group and China’s Geely Holding.
