Primary 1 admissions for 2023 are now available! Parents can check online from 1 August.
Malaysia’s Ministry of Education (KPM) has launched an online application system for Primary 1 and opened it for parents to apply for their children in March.
If parents are not satisfied with their child’s school allocation, they can appeal between 1 August and 30 August 2022.
Parents can visit https://public.moe.gov.my/ for enquiries and appeals, where parents only need to enter their ID and password to make an enquiry. Parents need to go online for re-approval, then print out the relevant documents and bring the original copy of their child’s birth certificate to the designated primary school for re-approval.
According to the Ministry of Education, any child born between 2 January 2016 and 1 January 2017 will be enrolled in Primary 1 in 2023. children born between 2 January 2017 and 1 January 2018 will be enrolled in Primary 1 in 2024.
