Penang to revise non-domestic water tariff from 2023!
According to the Penang Water Supply Authority (PBA), the water tariff for non-domestic and special group units in Penang will be adjusted from January 1, 2023. Domestic water rates will remain unchanged.
In addition to the non-domestic tariff, special groups such as religious or welfare homes, government offices, institutions of higher learning and shipping will also be adjusted.
According to the Penang Water Authority (PBA) website, Penang has the lowest domestic water tariff in the country, which is RM0.32 per 1,000 liters, which is lower than the national average of RM0.71.
The second lowest cost of domestic water is in Terengganu, followed by Pahang, Perlis, Kelantan, Kedah and Negeri Sembilan. Johor’s water bill is the highest in the country.
The above figures are based on the first 35,000 liters per month.
