The 96-hour water supply system in Penang has officially started. The Penang Water Supply Corporation started replacing two 1.2-meter-diameter valves at the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant at 6 am this morning and started preventive maintenance projects at 22 other locations. According to a statement issued by Penang Water Supply Corporation, the Sungai Dua water treatment plant has ceased operation as planned, and the above-mentioned related work has been started at other locations.
The agency said that the authorities will update the progress of the valve replacement project at the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant from time to time to allow the public to obtain accurate and reliable information.
