There will be a continuous rain warning in Pahang, Johor, Kelantan, and Terengganu.
MetMalaysia (Malaysia’s Meteorological Department) has issued a continuous rain warning for parts of Pahang, Johor, Kelantan, and Terengganu.
From January 19 to 21, MetMalaysia predicts similar weather conditions in Pahang (Pekan and Rompin) and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru).
The same warning was issued for Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kuantan, Pahang, from January 20 to January 22.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) has urged states to activate state and district disaster management committees and increase preparedness for impending disasters, particularly in high-risk areas, in a separate statement.
The committees are also asked to ensure that each temporary relief centre has the basic necessities and that the operations control room has all necessary operational resources and is in good working order.
Nadma, in collaboration with various technical agencies, will constantly monitor the situation of technical information parameters through the National Disaster Control Centre (NDCC).
