Social media users express their dissatisfaction when individuals dare to sell Starbucks and Blackpink’s special edition tumblers at unreasonable prices.
One guy offers a silver tumbler for RM1,499 via viral screenshots of adverts, claiming it to be the “Blackpink Starbucks Limited Edition Lisa’s Pick.”
Another screenshot shows an RM899 pink tumbler labeled “Blackpink x Starbucks Rhinestone Stainless Steel Cold Cup.” The seller introduces themselves as a personal shopper and claims to have two extras available for pickup in Puchong.
In response to this excessive pricing, a social media influencer, @brgsjks, tweets that consumers should not buy from such dealers. They urge individuals not to spend money and instead to invest it in more meaningful endeavors such as starting a business or purchasing necessary equipment such as tables and chairs.
For the record, Starbucks teamed with K-pop group Blackpink to release limited-edition Frappuccino drinks as well as tumblers, bags, yoga mats, passport holders, and keychains. Starting on Tuesday, these items were made available at certain Starbucks locations in Malaysia, with costs ranging from RM108 for apparel to RM20.50 for the Strawberry Choco Cream Frappuccino drink.
