New quarantine measures for confirmed patients and close contacts effective from 1st March

28/02/2022

Ministry of Health has updated the quarantine measures for confirmed patients and close contacts. Those who have received booster shot or have completed two doses of vaccination will only need to be isolated for 7 days after diagnosis. As for those who have not completed their vaccinations and confirmed persons who have not been vaccinated, they need to be isolated for 10 days.

The duration of isolation is not related to the presence or absence of symptoms of covid and will be based on the vaccination status.

As for close contacts, those who have received the booster vaccine and do not show symptoms on the first day do not need to be isolated, but will need to undergo RTK Ag screening on the first and third days. Those who have received booster vaccine and have symptoms on the first day will be isolated for 5 days.

Those who have received only two doses of vaccine will be isolated for 7 days. Those who have not received the vaccine or have not completed the vaccination will be quarantined for 10 days.

Close contacts who have symptoms will need to self-test with a rapid test kit or go to a nearby clinic for covid testing. Close contacts who are asymptomatic do not need to be tested and can be released immediately upon expiration of the quarantine period.

If close contacts have been infected within 60 days they must be quarantined.
