Ministry of Health is expected to announce a number of relaxations to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for covid prevention measures on Wednesday, April 27. The SOPs that are likely to be relaxed include the exemption of wearing masks outdoors, the removal of the MySejahtera registration and the exemption of PCR testing for incoming passengers.
Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri said that the government would gradually relax the epidemic prevention measures, but that the government would listen to the views of the public and would not relax all the measures at once, but would adopt a gradual approach to liberalisation.
Our country entered the transitional phase of the endemic epidemic on April 1, when all business activities in the country were allowed to resume and people were allowed to travel freely. Persons who have been in close contact with a confirmed patient do not require mandatory quarantine as long as they do not develop symptoms.
There has been a lot of negative news about MySejahtera recently and many people have started to reduce their use of MySejahtera registration data. MySejahtera registrations are known to have decreased by 30%.
