Maybank’s Secure2u activation service to move from M2U APP to MAE APP!

Attention! Maybank Secure2u activation service will be transferred from M2U MY APP to MAE APP.

 

According to Maybank, the new Secure2u activation service will be transferred from M2U MY APP to MAE APP, effective September 26, 2022.

 

This means that from 26 September 2022, users will only be able to activate Secure2u through MAE APP and not through M2U MY APP.

 

This adjustment is one of Maybank’s measures to enhance the security of online banking. If you are already activating and using Secure2u in the M2U MY APP, you will not be affected in any way.

 

In addition, from October 2022 onwards it will take 12 hours for users to activate Secure2u service from other devices before it is successfully activated. This is to ensure that users have enough time to report and take recovery measures if their account is stolen.

 

Maybank also recommends users to enable Secure2u feature in MAE APP. Users can enable the Secure2u feature in MAE APP to verify transactions, which can avoid frequent switching between M2U and MAE APP.
