Many banks have joined the DuitNow Request service.

PayNet, Malaysia’s electronic payment system, launched DuitNow, an online transaction service. Bank Negara initiates this function. Users can transfer funds via phone numbers, ID card numbers, and passport numbers using the DuitNow service.
DuitNow Request is a feature that allows you to request money from the other party. If the other party owes you money, you can remind them to send it through the DuitNow Request function.
The requesting party can send the request via e-wallet or online banking platform. The other party will be notified after the requesting party sends the DuitNow Request remittance request. The other party can choose whether to make or refuse the remittance after receiving the DuitNow Request request.
Each user can send up to 20 DuitNow Requests per day, with individual users requesting up to RM50,000 per day and business users requesting up to RM10,000,000 per day.
Many banks, including Maybank, Standard Chartered, Bank Islam, HSBC, OCBC, and Citibank, are currently participating in the DuitNow Request service, and other banks will gradually join this function.
However, DuitNow Request may make it easier for fraudulent groups. Fraudulent groups may use the DuitNow Request function to request remittances from victims. If the victims approve the remittance carelessly, they will suffer losses.
