When purchasing a car, you should consider not only the monthly auto loan payment, but also the vehicle’s fuel consumption and the cost of returning it to the factory for maintenance. Toyota Vios may reach a fuel consumption rating of 16 kilometres per litre of gasoline when travelling at high speeds. Every three months, Toyota Vios must be returned to the factory for repair.
You must replace the engine oil and oil filter, among other things, when returning to the factory for repair. The first two times you return to the factory for maintenance, you’ll get a labor-free discount, and after that, you’ll have to pay a labour charge of RM100 to RM400.
When returning to the manufacturer for maintenance, car owners can choose between Mineral Oil, Semi-Synthetic Oil, or Full Synthetic Oil, depending on their demands, and each engine oil has a different price.
If you choose to have it serviced outside of the factory, the cost may be less than the original factory maintenance, but you will lose the factory guarantee.
