Touch ‘n Go Group announced that its subsidiary TNG Digital Sdn Bhd has raised RM750 million in its latest round of equity fund raising. The funds were raised from existing shareholders and new investment from the Lazada Group.
The investment from Lazada Group will further strengthen the e-commerce and digital financial services partnership and bring higher value to the Touch ‘n Go ecosystem and merchants.
TNG Digital Sdn Bhd has raised a total of RM1 billion in funding over the past 18 months, with investments from parent company Touch ‘n Go and Lazada Group, as well as from Ant Group, AIA Group and US venture fund Bow Wave Capital.
In recent months, Touch ‘n Go eWallet has been adding new features such as insurance service, GoPinjam lending service, Goinvest micro-investment service, etc. Touch ‘n Go eWallet has become a popular e-wallet platform in Malaysia.
