La Nina is expected to last until the end of the year! Heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected.

According to meteorologists from the University of Malaya’s Centre for Antarctic Circle Studies, the rainy La Nina was supposed to end in August or September this year, but because La Nina is migrating slowly, it is expected to last until the end of the year.

La Nina has been in effect since last year, changing the temperature of the ocean’s surface as well as the climate of countries surrounding the ocean, such as those in Southeast Asia.

La Nina brings more cloud cover and active airflow, as well as heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds.

Because the current climate is changing so quickly, the Meteorology Department unable to issue relevant climate changes immediately, causing people to evacuate too late. Meteorologists believe that the Meteorological Department should issue weather forecasts that are more targeted and specific.

A major flood erupted in the Klang Valley at the end of last year, causing widespread devastation. Their cars were not only broken down, but their furniture was also soaked and damaged.
