KWSP provides an online service to nominate beneficiaries for EPF deposits.

24/02/2022

A beneficiary is a person who has the right to take over the deposit in the event of the member’s death. If there is no beneficiary nominated in the event of the member’s death, the relatives will face many legal issues when they take over the deposit.

KWSP provides an online service to nominate beneficiaries for EPF deposits, but after nomination, you need to go to the nearest EPF Board counter for thumbprint stamping.

The form for nominating beneficiaries for EPF deposits is limited to 6 beneficiaries, if a member wishes to nominate more beneficiaries, then he/she can choose to fill in more than one form. If the beneficiary nominated by the member is under 18 years old, the deposit will be held by a guardian.

If the member wants to change the beneficiary list, either by adding more beneficiaries or reducing the number of beneficiaries, the member needs to fill in all the beneficiaries’ names again.

Note: Online nomination of beneficiaries is available from 12:00 am to 8:00 pm daily.
